What is the expected waiting time for the eSIM to be delivered after payment?

Our system requires time to verify your order and generate the QR code.

If you buy the plan either on the day of your arrival at the destination or the following day, you can expect to receive the plan via email within 2 hours of placing your order.

When should I activate my eSIM?

It is recommended to activate your eSIM on the day of your flight departure, where there is Internet connection available.

Ensure your device has Wi-Fi or alternative Internet connection to scan your eSIM QR code.

You may also need to restart your mobile device upon arriving at your destination.

How to activate my eSIM plan?

Make sure your Phone is unlocked and compatible with eSIM technology.

Ensure you have a stable internet connection, either through Wi-Fi or cellular data.

Activate Your eSIM: IPHONE

  • Open the Settings app on your iPhone.
  • Tap on "Cellular" or "Mobile Data" (depending on your iOS version).
  • Select "Add Cellular Plan" or "Add Data Plan."
  • Scan the QR code provided by your eSIM provider using your iPhone's camera.

Activate Your eSIM: Android

  • Open the Settings app on your Android device.
  • Look for "Network & Internet" or "Connections" settings.
  • Select "Mobile networks" or "SIM cards" depending on your device.
  • Choose "Add mobile plan" or "Add eSIM" and follow the on-screen instructions.
  • Scan the QR code provided by your eSIM provider using your device's camera.

Please note that the exact steps and menu names may vary slightly depending on your Android device's manufacturer, model, and software version. It's always a good idea to consult your device's user manual or support resources for specific instructions tailored to your device.

How long does the QR code for my eSIM remain valid?

The QR code for an eSIM is valid for 30 days starting from the purchase date. Remember, it can be scanned only once for activation on a single mobile device*.

Here are the recommendations:

  • Purchase the eSIM closer to your flight departure date.
  • Activate the eSIM on the day of your departure.
*Applicable to eSIM-compatible devices only.

Can I use the same QR code/eSIM for multiple devices?

No, you cannot use the same QR code or eSIM on multiple devices. Once an eSIM is activated on a device, it is bound to that device and cannot be transferred or used on another device. Each eSIM is specific to the device on which it is activated, and activation is a permanent process that cannot be reversed or moved to another device, with no option for refunds once the eSIM is scanned and activated.

What is the network speed?

The network provides high-speed service with 5G/4G/LTE. However, the speed will slow down to 128 Kbps.

Should I turn on data roaming when using the eSIM?

Yes, please ensure your data is connected to The Freedom Connetcs eSIM, then enable data roaming.

Go to Settings > Cellular > turn on data roaming.

Are voice call and SMS services included?

You can check the plan type on the details page of each data package. If the plan type is "data only," it means that voice calls and text messages are not included.

Can I renew or extend the data on my eSIM?

Currently, eSIM renewal is not available. However, if you need more data, you can purchase another eSIM.

What should I do if I lose my eSIM QR code?

Please register as a member. You can then check your order number under your purchase history and inform us. We will resend the QR code to your email.

When does the package validity start?

Most packages are activated once you scan the QR code and connect to the network, with the first day counted from that moment. It is advisable to scan the code on your travel date.

Is it possible for me to purchase the eSIM for someone else?

Yes, you can purchase the eSIM and share the QR code with your family member or friends, provided their device supports eSIM functionality.

How do I remove the eSIM after use?

ou can delete the eSIM through your phone's SIM card manager. Please note that once the eSIM is deleted, it can no longer be used or re-scanned, as eSIMs can only be scanned once.

SIM Card FAQ

Can I utilize the SIM Card with my phone? Is it compatible?

Our SIM card comes in three sizes: Normal, Micro, and Nano.

Please note that connecting to the 4G LTE network requires a device capable of 4G LTE. If your phone doesn't support LTE, you may experience service issues that are beyond our control, as not all areas may have 3G/2G coverage from the telco.

Additionally, ensure that your mobile phone is not locked.

Can I keep my current local number when using the SIM Card?

Inserting a new SIM Card will change your phone number, and you won't receive calls or SMS on your old number unless your phone supports dual SIM cards.

For services like WhatsApp, Telegram, and LINE, you may be prompted to retain your original number within the app, but since most of our SIM cards are data-only, this may not apply.

Is the SIM Card compatible with MiFi or hotspot sharing devices? (also known as MiFi Egg, WiFi Egg, WiFi Router, Hotspot Router, Mobile Router)

We do not recommend using MiFi or WiFi devices with our SIM Card.

Why do you ask for my departure date?

This is to ensure that the SIM Card you are purchasing will work as advertised on your departure date.

If you are unsure about the departure date, please give a rough estimate so that we can best advise if the SIM Card will be suitable for you.

What are the steps to activate the SIM Card?

Activation instructions are included in our custom instruction sheets that accompany every purchase. Please review this sheet upon receiving the SIM Card as it may include additional registration steps.

Inserting the SIM card into your mobile device and detecting the network counts as one day of usage.

We strongly recommend inserting the SIM card only on the day of your departure or upon reaching your travel destination.

Is it possible to use the SIM Card for an extended period or top it up for future use?

Absolutely, our SIM card is rechargeable. Upon your initial purchase, the SIM card will be valid for 6 months. Within this period, if you top up, it will extend the validity for another 6 months.
